Big Daddy and I returned from our first childless getaway yesterday. Although, it was very difficult to leave the little ones, I didn't make it to the car before I started crying, we had a very nice time. We stayed in Atlantic City, but made a nice side trip to Cape May, Wildwood and Seaside Heights. During one of the many, many phone calls to check on the kids, I asked Donny if he was being a good boy. I heard silence on the other end of the phone, so I repeated the question to which he replied, "Not really." Aunt Karen assured me Donny was being very good. 
Donny was very good, so was his sister Abigail. Would Aunt Karen do it again?...As Donny would say..Ohh Yeah!!
ReplyDeleteHooray!! It's important for a healthy marriage to spend alone time...I've learned over time children adapt..it's the parents who struggle with the guilt..heck I can't wait for the first offer.. I'll start packing now!!! LOL
