The winds here yesterday were incredible. Everything seemed to be okay until around 3:30 when I walked pasted a window and thought to myself, something is missing. Going back to the window to take a closer look, I realized the garage was gone. Now, for the new readers out there, I must explain two things. First, whenever anything like this happens, and it seems to happen here often, Big Daddy is ALWAYS at work. I think he has been in the house once during a significant storm and that is not an exaggeration. I have come to believe that these moment are God's way of testing me, much like a mid-term in school. I'm pretty sure I still have a passing grade. Second, the garage is a portable/temporary garage.
I told the kids I would be back and went out to investigate. Unlike May 10, 2010 (check blog), the garage did not clear the fence this time. No, it went right through the darn thing. I'm sure that is because Big Daddy weighted it down so it wouldn't blow away. I found that a bit ironic. So now, not only do we need a new garage, but we need to replace the neighbor's fence. It is quite convenient that the Larchmont project is finished, now Big Daddy has time to build a proper garage. Donny asked if we could have a garage delivered so Daddy could play with him instead of doing another project. Oh, how I wish!
