Vacation

Although we have had better vacations, we are trying to keep our chins up and have a little fun.
Nanny is banned from sun for awhile. Her first day here, she grabbed her hairspray instead of sunscreen when she went to the pool which resulted in quite a sunburn. After a lecture, Nanny made such she was covered in sunscreen the next day. Many hours later she was feeling the pain from even more sun damage. I inspected her sunscreen to find she was using tanning oil with no SPF. She'll never make that mistake again.

Uncle Jim has had several small injuries, Abigail has a black eye from falling and Donny spent this morning in the ER because of an Asthma attack, but we are hanging in there. By the way, Happy Birthday Big Daddy!!!! This is one you will never forget!

Pool

We spent the afternoon at the pool today. Donny was injured within a minute of exiting the car. He dropped a toy and it went under the car. When he stuck his arm under the car, the his elbow touched the tailpipe and burnt him. I felt sick to my stomach, but he didn't even cry. I think playing in the pool may have helped with the pain. We will see how it feels tomorrow.

Abigail wanted to swim in the big pool and spent a bit of time at the gate trying to escape. I finally convinced her to sit under the mushroom with me and we had a great time.

Sail

I took Abigail to the Manor hoping to see the sailboats racing, but all was quite. I was able to take some really great photos of Abigail.

Soap.com

I have been ordering my diapers from Diapers.com since Donny was born. I love there site and prices. Today Diapers.com launched their sister site, Soap.com. Just like Diapers.com, Soap.com offers free 1-2 day shipping with orders over $49.00. Soap.com sells everything from laundry soap to travel size deodorant.

Videos

I'm not sure what I am doing incorrectly when I upload my videos. I am sorry about the audio. A very weird noise plays instead of the actual audio. If any has a suggestion, I'm all ears.

Bastille Day

Last night we went to a Bastille Day block party. While Big Daddy was giving people rides on Fire Rides, the kids spent the most of the time dancing.
The man dressed as a solider was in an army by himself. I'm not sure if he just had that outfit hanging in his closet, but not another person was dressed like him.

Abigail wasn't too sure she wanted to be close to the girl wearing a full tiger outfit.
This is the only photo I took of Fire Rides, sorry Big Daddy. At one point, Donny was dancing on the stage and asked me why the man was signing so loud in his ear, "Because you're standing next to the speaker sweetheart."

Recycling Day

Baby

Abigail was playing in the gated community while I made dinner. When I walked into the room to get her, she held up her baby to show me baby's new look. Donny took on look at baby and gasped. I joked to Aunt Karen that apparently baby wanted a smoke after her new tats. Aunt Karen thought there was a resemblance to Chuckie.
Donny tried to clean baby's head and covered her with wipes so she could get some rest. Abigail now has visitation rights, but they are supervised by Donny.

Pie

Grandma hasn't been feeling well, so she is in the hospital. She is doing much better and we are hoping she returns home very soon. Yesterday, we took the kids to the hospital for a visit. On the way, Big Daddy told Donny we could have lunch in the cafeteria. Donny said, "You know they have pie in the cafeteria." I soon realized he was referring to an episode of Hannah Montana. He was happy to see Grandma, but couldn't wait to get to the cafeteria and look for Hannah and Oliver. (Oliver is a cast member on the show.)

Not Enough Hours

I'm not sure what magical force it at work in Westchester, but it seems as though there aren't as many hours in the day here. I really don't know where the time goes each day. I usually end my day around 7:00-7:30 in Dover. I am now ending the day around 9:00.

Race Week starts today at the Yacht Club, so I am hoping to take Donny down to the water to see all the sailboats. I think I can get some great photos, if the weather cooperates. I also need to return to Lord and Taylor to have the magnetic clip remove from my new bathing suit. I can't tell you what a joy it was to realize the lady failed to remove the clip. She must have been distracted when she overcharged me, accused me of swapping price stickers and was then told by two other sales people that I was correct.

I started this post in the morning and am finally finishing it at the end of the day. I didn't accomplish any of the above so I am hoping tomorrow will be more productive.

NYC

We all went to the city today to meet Grandma and Grandpa for breakfast. The Grandparents took the train from Ohio to NYC to sight see for a couple of days. The kids were so excited and loved the train ride. After breakfast we toured and shopped Grand Central, then back on the train and home in time for naps.

Another Park

We stopped at another park yesterday with cousin Molly.

Shopping

I broke my rules again and allowed the kids to ride in the car cart. That bit me in the butt pretty fast. Donny wanted to give Abigail love, Abigail didn't want to be touched, but wanted to touch everything. Abigail was removed from the car and relocated to the carriage seat before we even left produce. I was forced to open a box of Triskets to stop the screaming. Next shopping trip we are back to our old ways.
