Question

The kids were sitting under the tree relaxing while I was weeding the flowerbeds. I heard Donny ask Abigail, "Who is your favorite singer? Cinderella, Justin Bieber or Elvis?" I didn't hear her answer because I was giggling.

Great Weekend

Thanks to Big Daddy and the 400 hours he logged on the backhoe, we really were able to enjoy our yard this weekend. Everything looked beautiful, the weather was wonderful and the company fun and entertaining. The kids had so much fun: sleeping in the tent, canoeing, swinging, exploring the woods and just playing with each other. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Thanks Big Daddy for all of your hard work!!

Canoe Trip

Uncle Jim, Molly, Big Daddy, Donny and I took a six mile canoe trip in Connecticut. All those involved had a great time except for one. Two minutes on the river and Donny was asking for the Coast Guard. He was very good and didn't try to stand up once, but I think the good behavior had more to do with pure fear. He wanted to walk along side the canoe rather than ride. I do think he enjoyed himself just a bit.

Memorial Day Parade

We went to Larchmont last night to attend the annual Memorial Day Parade.

Tea Party

Abigail invited all of her favorite friends to her tea party.

Cary Grant

Donny walked into the room this morning at 5:40. I told him that it was entirely to early and I was going back to bed and so should he. About 40 minutes later, I walked into the living room to find my little man sitting in the chair watching Arsenic and Old Lace. He didn't return to bed when I told him, but put a movie on instead. There is a character in the movie that believes he is Teddy Roosevelt. Donny is now only wearing the color Khaki like Teddy and is running around yelling, "CHARGE!"

Your Day?

I always ask Abigail how about her day and the answer is always the same. I decided to record her so I won't forget.

Good Morning

At 6:30 this morning, I was looking for black gloves and a "generals hat" for Donny and putting wings on Abigail. I stopped to look at the generals outfit and realized he was wearing snow pants and Ashley's collar as a belt. It is entirely too early for role play. I just overheard that the general was fired so he could stay home with his fairy and baby. I love to listen to them play.

Rainy Days

I really hope that the rain stops soon. Dinner tonight was very painful. The kids were bouncing off the walls. I finally told Big Daddy it was time to throw them outside for awhile to run off some energy.

Quick Pics

Abigail dressed for the rain, well maybe not.
General George Washington at his war desk. Although, I'm pretty certain the General didn't have a laptop.

Kitchen Project

After living here for seven years, I have finally started my little kitchen project. I was priming the back splash the other day while Abigail was painting in her highchair. I finally turned around to see what she painted.

Apple?

Allergies

I have been miserable for the past two weeks with allergies. Donny started to show signs of allergies yesterday. I gave him some medicine before bed and he seemed much better. I asked how he was feeling this morning and he replied, "I feel good, but my nose is grumpy." He is a bit stuffed up.

Game 2

Opening Day

I am posting a week late because I forgot I had these photos in my camera. Donny's opening day of T-ball went very well. We were at the park at 7:30 in the morning for the opening day parade. I'm so glad that is a one time event. We were really proud of Donny, he made a great effort and decided it was best to remove the underwear from his head before getting out of the car.

Faces

This is what happens when I turn my head for a moment. Abigail applies lipstick or in this case, blue marker.

I added this photo because I think she looks so pretty.

Rice Krispie

I finally decided to attempt making dairy-free Rice Krispie treats. They were actually pretty good. I was so excited to give the kids a new treat. I put a bowl in front of each child then stepped back to watch the joy they were about to experience. They both looked at the bowls then each other. Donny spoke first, "What is this? How are we suppose to eat it? I know we'll use spoons, I'll get them." He left the table and returned with two spoons. He handed Abigail a serving spoon and brought a ladle for himself. I took the spoons away and explained that every kid in America used their fingers. They started to poke the treats with their fingers and slowly pulled a single rice krispie off of the pile. What I thought would be a fun experience was just plain painful. Only my children
